1. Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM)

3. Laminated Object Manufacturing (LOM)
You can treat the raw materials used in this way as self-adhesive paper sheets. There is a small sheet on the back glue to other things. You need to place the first piece on the platform and cut into the shape we want with laser or other methods. Then paste the second piece, cut the second piece, and paste the third piece…
4. 3D Printing, also known as 3DP
Use glue to stick the powdered materials together! Specifically, you can spread a thin layer of powder on the base. Then there is a nozzle spraying special glue at the designated position on this layer. Where the glue is sprayed, the powder will be stuck. After a layer of powder is printed, place the second layer on top, then print the second layer’s pattern, and then spread the third layer… and then the whole thing is taken out from the powder pile, which is our part.
5. Laser powder molding technology (SLM/ SLS)
The raw material for this is also in powder form, which is characterized by the high temperatures that can melt the powder. Then lay a layer of powder, use the laser to melt the powder at the specified position, wait for it to solidify, then lay the second layer, sinter the second layer, and then the third layer… it becomes a whole. This technology has two relatively large branches, one is selective laser sintering technology (English: Selective Laser Sintering, SLS), and the other is selective laser melting technology (English: Selective Laser Melting, SLM)
The difference is that SLS melts the plastic powder. For example, when printing metal parts, you need to mix the plastic powder into the metal powder and let the plastic powder melted by the laser act as a binder. SLM, on the other hand, is like a black technology. It directly melts the metal powder and has the highest technology content currently.
